My academic journey began at Penn State Behrend, where I earned a B.A. in History. Those years fueled a fascination with the stories and lessons of our past. I deepened my studies at Mercyhurst College, focusing on ministry and earning my secondary teacher certification—an experience that opened doors to both the classroom and the world of spiritual guidance.
Teaching is at the heart of what I do. For years, I’ve worked with 7th and 8th graders, covering history, social studies, and science. I love watching my students develop the skills to think critically and ask the big questions about the world around them. There’s nothing quite like seeing curiosity spark in a classroom.
My spiritual path led me to become the Spiritual Leader of Unity in Edinboro (unityinedinboro.org). Our mission is all about inclusivity—creating a safe, welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors. Alongside my work at Unity, I co-founded Bolts of Love, a group devoted to supporting personal development and soulful connection. Both communities exist to help people grow, learn, and find encouragement, no matter where they are on their journey.
I have an ongoing love for Integrative Spirituality, New Thought, Spiritualism, and the art of spiritual self-empowerment. Over the years, I’ve earned certifications in QiGong, QiGong Healing, Spiritual Healing, Mediumship, Grief Education, Grief Movement, Reiki Healing, Integral Ministry, and The Art of Quantum Living. These practices have become avenues for both my own growth and the support I offer to others.
I’m actively involved with Sophia through the InnerQuest Foundation, help run the Mediumship Reading Room, and participate in a range of teaching programs centered around spirituality, self-development, healing, and mediumship. My greatest joys come from working with people who value diversity, open-mindedness, and lifelong learning.
Bolts of Love was born in January 2014, sparked by a conversation with two dear friends, Karen McGrath and Erin Stolz. We found ourselves discussing the many perspectives that exist in spiritual communities and realized how valuable it would be to create a space for meaningful dialogue—one rooted in respect and genuine curiosity rather than division. This vision has continued to guide our work and shape the community we’re building together.
